WHEN YOU TRAIN LIKE AN ATHLETE, YOU NEED TO RECOVER LIKE AN ATHLETE.

Recovery is an integral part of every athlete’s sports performance, and this is especially true at the elite training level at VFIt Athlete. Recovery is not just for injured athletes.

Designed specifically for the VFIt athlete, our goal through these programs is to establish recovery as an integral part of our adult and youth athletes’ training regimens in order to reach peak performance on and off the Turf and optimal levels of health and activity.

Whether you’re looking to manage repetitive physical stress from training, prevent injury, or improve/enhance overall performance, our RECOVERY Partners programs are designed to get you to those goals.

 

In an effort to provide premium recovery services to our VFit athletes, we have partnered with Cryotherapy Indy, a full service physical therapy and wellness provider in downtown Indianapolis as our official recovery partner. Cryotherapy Indy offers an array of services available to VFit athletes, included but not limited to: Normatec, Infrared sauna, float therapy, Cryotherapy, Chiropractic services and acupuncture.

THE NORMATEC PULSE RECOVERY SYSTEM

The NormaTec PULSE Recovery Boots are dynamic compression devices designed for recovery and rehab, using NormaTec’s patented PULSE technology to help athletes recover faster between training sessions and after performance.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE?

The system uses compressed air to massage your legs, mobilize fluid, and speed recovery with the patented NormaTec Pulse Massage Pattern. When you use the system, you will first experience a pre-inflate cycle, during which the connected attachments are molded to your exact body shape. Similar to the kneading and stroking done during a massage, each segment of the attachment will first compress in a pulsing manner and then release. This will repeat for each segment of the attachment as the compression pattern works its way up your legs.

HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS?

30-minute sessions are offered to help you recover faster between workouts by reducing muscle soreness and improving circulation. Sessions can be done pre or post-workout.

Does Cryotherapy Hurt?

Unlike when you go outside on a cold day, WBC is a dry process. Because dry cold does not penetrate the body like cold air with moisture, WBC temperatures are able to be much colder than what would be possible on a normal winter day without the extreme discomfort.

What Goes Into Your Flotation Tank?
